Call For Papers: Younger Comparativists Committee Panel at the ASCL Annual Meeting
July 10, 2019
The Younger Comparativist’s Committee of the American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL YCC) solicits papers from emerging scholars for a panel at the ASCL’s annual meeting to be held at the University of Missouri Law School in Columbia, Missouri, on October 17-19. Two to three papers will be selected for the panel, which will include established scholars serving as commentators.
The theme of the annual meeting is comparative law and the international dispute resolution process. Papers for the YCC panel may, but are not required to, comport with the same theme. Submissions on any other topic related to comparative law will also be reviewed.
Papers for the panel should be written in English and the authors or co-authors must be from ASCL member institutions and qualify as younger comparativists (ten or fewer years of teaching experience).
Interested scholars should submit full, anonymized drafts to melissa.howlett@queensu.ca on or before August 10. In addition, scholars should send a separate document with their name, title and abstract, contact information, institutional affiliation, and a certification that all authors qualify as younger comparativists. Scholars who are selected and who do not receive funding from their home institutions to attend will receive an award of up to $400 from the ASCL.
