Election of New ASCL Officials

The American Society of Comparative Law is delighted to announce the election of Professor Fernanda G. Nicola from American University Washington College of Law, and Professor Gary Bell from National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, as new members of the Executive Committee, and Professor Mathias Reimann as Honorary President of the Society, at its 2022 Business Meeting held in Asuncion, Paraguay and online, on October 26, 2022. “Fernanda Nicola, Gary Bell, and Mathias Reimann are three outstanding comparative law scholars who have great judgment and a great capacity to get things done. I am looking forward to working with them”, said ASCL President Máximo Langer. Professor Nicola and Bell are joining Professor Yvonne Tew from Georgetown University Law Center, and Professor Nuno Garoupa from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, as elected members of the ASCL Executive Committee, and will work with the various officials of the Society in that capacity. Professor Mathias Reimann will serve for two years as Honorary President of the Society. Professor Virginia Harper Ho and Professor Máximo Langer were also reelected as ASCL Secretary and President respectively, at the 2022 Business Meeting.
